1. Users

The Users metric in Google Analytics shows how many people visited your site during a specific time frame. It’s a great way to see how big your audience is getting. More users mean more reach! 

Keep an eye on how this number changes over time. You can track whether the number of visitors is growing, staying the same, or dropping.

2.  Sessions

The Session metric tracks the number of times people visit your website in a set period. Don’t confuse it with the Users metric! An individual can have multiple sessions if they visit your site multiple times.

4. Bounce Rate

The Bounce Rate metric is also an indicator of sessions. But what’s the difference? Well, this one shows the percentage of non-engaging visitors. More specifically, those who entered your site and left it after less than 10 seconds, without any action, like clicking on a link or subscribing to the newsletter. 

This is very useful to see how captivating your page is. A high bounce rate means that the website needs a makeover. Likewise, a low bounce rate is like a warm hug for your website: users are sticking around. 

5. Session Conversion Rate

Want to know how effective your marketing strategy is in driving conversions? A key metric to follow for business growth is the Session Conversion Rate. This shows the percentage of sessions that resulted in a Conversion.

To measure this right, you need to set your goals straight. What counts as a conversion in your case? - purchases, filling out a form, or maybe the download of a document?

Now that you have decided on this, also let Google know them. You have to create Events based on your goals, and he’ll do the rest of the job: showing you the Session Conversion Rate.

6. Views Per User

This metric indicates the average number of pages each user views during a time frame. It is determined by the total number of users divided by the total number of views from that period.

7. Engagement Rate

Curious about how engaged people are with your site?
